Also worth keeping a Lump Hammer in the boot to WHACK the MAP sensor with!

The quickest fix would be a longer intake pipe (well, plastic thing) on the air filter.

Seems strange that Honda haven't done it.

Maybe they spent too much on the airbox in the first instance!

nah it's a 2004 model, but i'll give the ECU reset a try, if that don't work it looks like they haven't sorted the problem

I've never noticed my MY00 do it (although my previous Civic did it quite badly - maybe I just got used to driving in such a way as to avoid it - ie. lots of revs.)

Only ever happened once for me.
Unfortunately I was turning right across a dual carriageway. A definite brown trouser moment!

If the kangarooing is VERY violent, and happens when starting the car from warm, it could be what I had - which was a PITA, and unrelated to warm air intake.
