Just come back from the dyno 110k+
I have just come back from a dyno day. Im going to post pics and a video up soon.
Parameters:
110,209k Miles
De-cat on stock 04 exhaust
AEM V2 CAI system
Ricks 4.57r gears
10-15kg weight drop
Dynomite Dyno??
I was very intruigued (having never done a dyno) and wanted to know what an S2000 would produce with high milleage hopefully this info will be useful to others. I forgot the bloody print out but the i have rang the guy to give me the info.
My results:
Max torque @ 142.6 lb-ft (wheel)
HP @ 190.8 (wheel)
Hp @ 235.2 (Fly)
A few things, do you agree?
a) The guy said i should really open up the faux vent as it benefit the car
b) It runs a bit lean from 6700-7000rpm, then its okay
c) IIRC the FD 4.57r reduce the BHP slightly 1-3bhp.
d) he had a westfield with a F20C engine and gained 20-30bhp of an emerald ECU, which adjusts timing and fueling
Whats everyone conclusions/view on these figures??, i guess i should be happy.
Cheers
Adam

Those figures look about right but I would have thought a decat and your AEM would maybe add a few little ponies. This maybe accounted for though with your high mileage.
I've opened up my faux vent but I'm unsure if its made any difference.
The final drive has nothing to do with BHP and doesn't alter the figures in any way.
If you don't mind me asking where did you go and how much was it?
Andy

IIRC the emerald ecu is a fully programmable ECU just like the AEM EMS, hondata etc...
I have a feeling it is popular on Lotuses (sp!) but I am not sure why.
I guess there are gains if you go with a fully mappable ems on an NA car but they probably would come from running leaner and hence might not be a great idea.

Those two mods shouldn't really effect the torque/bhp. That said I doubt the aem does!
