Very true.

The long 1st is very useful for pulling out in front of people, without inconveniencing them.

I suspect the guy with the 2.8 is just trying to underline his brand's superiority to yours!

also the birds at work reckon it is well nice and stated that they thought the z3 looked pants campared to the S. well one up already to the s. lets hope its two up when it comes to the drag race that will inevitably happen!

Just make sure the car is reasonably warmed up (a few mins should do), or you'll hit the 6k limiter (i.e. no VTEC) and the Z3 might keep up with you. Once it's warmed up you can rev into VTEC no bother and lay the smackdown.

Please keep us all up todate on this, would love to know what he says when you absolutly P*** over him. FYI the S keeps pretty much even with the M3 up to 100, but dont tell him that untill you've beaten him.

Enjoy the car. Take the air lid off, sounds brilliant. Friend of mine has an Evo8 350BHP, he loves it but whish's his made as good a noise as my S with the airbox lid off

You'll beat him but you wont spank the living daylights out of it - it's not that slow.
The next time he talks about the car I'd just casually ask him what his bhp is and wait for him to ask you what the S is, that should shut him up. - My mate got a new found respect for the S after he had bought a 3litre Z4, he assumed his car was superior and had a lot more bhp with it's big 3ltr. His face was an absolute picture after he asked me how much bhp and I told him 240 - goggle eyed he says, 'that's more than mine'. Well done Einstein I thought. I could see the penny dropping with him that my car might actually be faster than his In fairness to him, since then, he does have a lot of respect for the S and doesn't underestimate it.

Oh and ask him to take you for a ride in his then offer a ride in yours - he might leave shaking, but he'll certainly appreciate the animal nature of the S afterwards. He'll probably then go on about having wanted a more refined car bla bla bla
