Just Ordered.....
My rear panels from lucid.....got the kenwood 3 ways in the rear, and ordered the kenwood 3 way drop ins for the front as well....
It was a toss up between a person plate, or better sounds....the right choice I think.
Cant wait!

The rears add quite a bit, but without upgrading the head unit you wont get the most out of the whole package at all (I have just installed it) I tested it with a friends Alpine head unit and it does make a hell of a difference. That will definately be the next step in my upgrade. You could also put in an Amp to get the most out of them.
Either way, the speakers are a great first step, but even these Kenny's can take a lot more than the stock head unit throws at them.
Also, a couple of configuration suggestions (These work well with my 2002 unit) drop the treble to between -2 and -4 (I have tweeters as well remember) otherwise it does not sound right (too many tweets) and make it +2 for the front, otherwise it seems like most of the sound is coming from behind you (I don't have my seat all the way back) if you do, then it might stop that anyway.

Yeah, I agree. Next step will probably be to get an amp in there somewhere. I've got the OEM to Line converter to do this, but am aware this is not ideal...then upgrade the head last.
The reason why I'm leaving the head till last is because of MP3...I'm currently building a cd MP3 duke box at home (PC based) and want to be able to put a hard disk based player in the car...
Mstation looks good, but dosn't integrate with anything....sony are bringing out a harddisk based head unit, but it's about a million pounds....Kenwood on the other hand have released a thing called the "music keg" that hooks up to anything including a kenwood head unit. This allows you to control the MP3 part of the deal from the head unit, and therefore the dash controls...but as yet is only available in the states...
unless anyone has anybetter ideas.....
