I loved my 03 and it is a much more hardcore drive than my 06.
For some 100% hardcoreness ALL the time can be wearisome.

I love the dual-nature of the later car.
A little bit of extra luxury which some days is very welcoming when due to traffic density or mood, gentle pottering is obligatory, and yet cometh the moment all that gggrrrrr ggggrrrrr on tap.

I think S20004U started it in relation to the S2000. Their website was the first place I saw it anyway.

It always grates slightly with me for some reason - although I suppose it's a logical way of differentiating 99-01 cars from 02-03 cars from 04+ cars....
I've always used it as well
It does make sense as we are soon to see rev5 with the new Cr bits added on as a run out
How else do can it be done?

Well, since I can only deal with FACTS, Mr. Gradgrind, how about calling them 99-01, 02-03, etc?

Rev2 etc sounds a bit Playwithyourselfstation, somehow

I agree... in the winter it was a bit more tiring, but in the summer months it was much more of an animal. I think the S02's played a big part here.

I had my 03 for 3 years and 45k and loved it!

I just feel the 06> handling is a bit too 'benign'.

I think the 99-01s are just about the sensible limit on the yUK's dirt tracks.

Obviously not for some, who have Nitrons & even stiffer ARBs on theirs!

The septics have been saying the 2008's stiffer rear ARB gives the car an excellent balance. Probably worth an upgrade in future for 17" cars?
