Default K&n fipk intake kit

anyone running one of these systems. How do you find it on the car?anyone know a good place to buy one, they are not cheap.

Lots of people, and there are some good posts with instructions if you have a search (try FIPK as the search term).

Could think of a better way to spend £300,
its only a plastic pipe & a filter stuck on the end.

I managed to pick one up second hand with the thought of giving it a go but probably selling it on shortly after. Also, the internet tells me the ideal is to modify the standard airbox and use a K & N filter elemet.
Unlucky for you though I'm rather liking the addition of the FIPK and don't seem to be suffering with any heat soak. For me it massively increases the entertainment factor of the car and rewards using the lower gears which I guess is how the engine should be driven. As the Mrs says, "it's how it should have come from the factory."

just read my sentence again, it wasnt very clear sorry. Yes i meant what did people think of the item once installed. Too noisey? Etc. Thanks, john
