Default K&N Gen II Question

Just looking to get an induction kit for MY06, Just had a look on the K&N website and it looks as though the part numbers are different for the S2000 K&N Gen II

For models upto 2003 - 57-3514

For models from 2004-2007 - 63-3514

Is there any difference??

I've noticed on ebay they only have the 57-3514 for sale

Just don't want to blow

I think the confusion lies with the US model having a 2.2 litre from 2004 onwards, but in the UK we only ever had the 2 litre.

I would guess you want the 2000-2003 model number but don't quote me on that.

Ring K&N UK and ask.

Thanks DBM,

I rang K&N and they bascially said there is no difference in the kits.

They did say that the GEN II kits are not sold in the UK and are of American specification only and could be sourced in 3-4 weeks if I wanted one.

So ebay, here I come!!

They did a trial fit on a UK car, which I arranged and were supposed to be selling them now. Useless!

Cheaper on Ebay anyway

63i complies with US carb emmissions. There is no difference in the product aside from the classification.

Just had a reply from K&N on a couple of questions I had.

"The 57-3514 is suitable for the UK spec S2000 (2litre) where as the 63-3514 is for the US spec. We (K&N England) have stock due in the beginning of September so if you could provide me with your postcode I can source your local dealer for you, otherwise you can place an order with various dealers (POTN, Jays performance, Toys4cars) over the internet."

After a further email I was told that

"[B]The 57-3514 msrp is

I'd love to have it all sorted before I go to the IOM mid sept - which puts me off ordering from the US.

Where did you get yours from?
