Ah, this link is to the UK technical FAQ!

Stay mineral until 6k or first service
Yep, I can confirm that Bassoctopus is talking miles! 6000 miles is about 9600 kilometers, first service being at 9000 miles or 12000 kilometers, and then at the same interval after....

I'm British, brought up in the reasonably recent education system, so I use a weird mix of the two!

Miles (km if walking!), ft/ins, metres and ft, kg and lbs, the list goes on....

Actually 6,000 miles is closer to 15,000 km .. that's when my 1st service is due, and that's what is stated in the Owner's manual here in metricated (..and with the violent crime, almost decimated ) South Africa.

Future services are at 15,000 km (9,000 miles) intervals thereafter - as per the manuals issued with S's here

errrrr you sure about that?! There is 1.6 Km to 1.0 Mile

6000 miles *1.6 = 9600 Kilometers....

I acknowledge that I got my original post wrong, saying that service intervals are every 12000 Kilometers when ACTUALLY they are every 15000 Kilometers

Distance in Miles & squirt in litres. That's logical.

I weigh twelve stone eight decibels.

Bloody Phlegms!

One of the nice things about using miles rather than kilometers is that your overall mileage on a car seems lower - 100000 kilometers comes up on the odometer long before 100000 miles.
