I had the same problem with a jap import. Jap Village Horsham put on black box on the gearbox to derestrict and make Km into miles. Cost about

Sorry to bring this back up.

If a speedo is converted, from MPH > KMH, do they change the odometer from MPH > KPH too? I.e. If the car did 100000km in Japan, after the conversion, would it now state 62000m instead? I know with my first RX7 they didn't change the digital readout, but on my second one I didn't bother getting it converted over.

The better importers do, they did on mine.

I only noticed recently my dash has mph and km/h LEDs, but the one that's permanently on is the km/h one just with the 'k' disabled. I don't understand why they'd make a dash with both but not connect the button on the JDMs.
