charge big bucks for stuff they buy cheap from him.

Back onto the topic, I use KwikFit to fit my tyres that I bought on the internet and nothing else. Run a search on DIY thread, see what is involved in DIY. Most probably end up doing a better job than they do at KwikFit.
I just did the pads on my wifes BMW 330 I sourced Genuine Pads from GSF for 30 quid fitted them myself in 1 hr Bmw wanted 86 quid for the same pads and 60 quid to fit them total 146 quid are they having a laugh!!
Do the Honda pads yourself mate save at least 50 quid!

It varies from branch to branch. My local one has a good bunch (even did some work on my old westfield for nothing! they just loved the fact that they got to look over something different
) but there'll be many others that aren't so.
Having said that, changing pads is probably the easiest job they do so be hard for them to get it wrong, I'd just make sure the right pads are used. Problem is, I'm not sure how this fits with their business model (they "only" charge for parts and not labour as the markup is in the pads).
Besides that, there must be loads of fitters around that can do this simple job.

I was in my import once and badly needed new brakes changing, i went in and the fool said sorry we dont work on imports, i told him i only need somebody to fit in brakes which i had bought myself. Since then i would only ever use them if i REALLY had no other choice
