Default Leak in the Boot

I have a nice leak in my boot on the left hand side which has obviously become more apparent with this beautiful weather we had yesterday!

Am going to ring Honda today as they have tried to repair it before, but it has seemed to have got worse!

I'm sorry to say but this can be a real pain to track down.

Things can can cause leaks in the boot include blocked drain gullies from the roof, a rear vent seal needs replacing/sealing up(behind the rear bumper) and drain plugs in the bottom of the boot missing or damaged.

At the moment it is coming from the top right of the car....so if you sprinkle water on the boot lid (while it is closed) the water goes through the gap and some how ends up dripping inside.

i stripped the inside of the boot and then got to it with a hose pipe - tracked it down to blocked rain gutters around the hood - i posted some pictures and how i fixed it recently

Ah ok, do you have a link to your thread?

If I could do it myself I would as I basically live in London and would have to take it up to Sheffield for them to sort it for me.

I may have to take some photos myself to show you where it is coming in from etc.

Good work Tom

As you know where it's getting it (namely the boot lid) then it could well be a split rubber seal. Have a closer look at some point to see if there is any damage to the rubber seals.

Ok may be a stupid question, but where will I find the rubber seals?

Assuming I've understood you correct as to where the leak could be coming from.

I'm thinking of the rubber seals which the closed boot lid sits on as shown in this photo.

Blimey, when you look at that picture it looks so obvious! hehe

Well I will take a picture for you this evening and point it all out. But basically where that yellow cable is coming from is where I think the water is coming from. So not the thick black tubing end...

That yellow cable would be the fuel filler neck

That might mean the waters getting in from the fuel filler cap end. maybe there is a tiny leak there. Open the fuel flap and try pouring a bit of water in there to see if any runs down that pipe. Don't obviously pour any into the fuel nozzle itself
