I had this.
Roof down, look right down between the carpet brushes.
There is a catch tray in black plastic for water, it has a tube in the bottom that dumps water onto the floor and exits near the rear of the sills.

The tray collects the water that can run off the roof right behind the side windows. There should also be a 6" strip of wiper blade glued to the inside of the rear arch to guide water down the drain chute.
My plastic drain chute was not screwed correctly to the inside of the rear qtr panel. So, water was running down off the roof and between the drain channel and inner rear qtr panel.
The wiper strips had come unglued and dropped in the plastic drain tray, also blocking the drain pipe in the bottom.
if you have a bolt in there is almost cetrainly one that fixes the drain tray to the inside of the rear qtr panel.
This ends up (on the drivers side) where the spare wheel is, and puddles around the cable gland on the boot floor in that area. It can then run down the gullies into the tool tray an collect.

Steve.

Try finding someone small to sit in the boot with a torch as you soak the rear of the car with a hose...this site might help:

fold down roof, and look in the area where the roof motor is - there is a plastic cover on the inner side of the wing. i found mine somehow popped out, and let water get between it and the inside of the rear wing - it ran down over the wheel arch and into the boot.

Can some point me in the exact location of the drainage holes i guess theres a hole underneath. (I want to get underneath the car, I'm going to go in though the other enterance ) - i dont think it was draining away properly though the water was coming out underneath.

The holes didnt seem to be bunged up, there was a few foreign objects in there, but i tried to push a coat hanger wire down there i couldnt not seem to push it very far in - must be due to the bend in the pipe.

there is a picture on here somewere if you use the search you may find it.... you need to get a small torch in to the location to see the drainage holes and make sure that there is no rubbish inthere, get a hose in and just let it run and it will clear the pipes

Hardtop's on so can't really help now

The only two ways its coming in from there is if the pipe is split or disconnected, or its getting behind the drip tray and the bodywork (inner rear wing).

Fold the roof right down and you can see if you poke your head upside down behind the roll hoops and look outwards from the car.
If that black poly liner is not right up against the metalwork outboard, its going to get behind it and right into the boot.

So a few days ago i took a few pictures is was very cold and the car had been sitting for a few days gathering frost etc. I have posted these pics just so i know that I'm looking at the correct items people are pointing out.

First, Steven is this is the wiper blade thing you were on about?, its securely fixed in place.

Whilst in the back the brackets did not look like they have butted up correctly, dont think thats a problem though?, the roof fitter must have damaged a few of the clips (understandable), which i will replace when they come through the post.

Is this the wing liner you are on about?

Rear mudflap, any chance anyone could point out the drainage hole underneath?, because of the way water collect pipe bends i cold not put the wire dont more than a few inches

Thanks all.

Thats the drip tray liner, yes, but not the rubber bumper.
The large rubber bumper in the pic is what is up against the soft top once stretched.
I have another one glued on more forward where the gap is with the roof up.
Not sure how much difference it makes though on its own, but without it I guess the water can more easily find its way behind the drain buckets.

PS my rear parcel deck looks the same, always wondered if its normal or since it was out for a repair?
