Default Leaking Diff

I took my car to the TDI dyno a couple of weeks ago

where we discovered the diff was leaking oil.

I need to get this re-sealed does anyone know what parts are required gaskets etc. or can you just use gasket seal?

is it a big or small job ?

There is no gasket.

Use a high temperature silicon liquid gasket such as Hondabond (part no. 08718-0001)

No, they use oil seals.

Brian, where is it leaking from?

I had the local Hond garage replace a seal on my diff a few years back at a cost of around around £200. It took them 3 goes, over 3 months, to get it right. They kept splitting the seal when replacing the diff.

Chris.

Is there a DIY for this? Any special tools required? I've replaced diffs and axles before, but never done anything like this. Thanks.
