If you have a big bhp track car and are using semi slick tyres, then yes.

If you have a road car, with road tyres, i'd be surprised if you can get them to fade using OEM stuff, but some Ferodo DS2500 pads and a brake brace will improve the bite and feel.

If it's a track car, you can't get much better than Dixcel setup for the money.

Otherwise, you could argue big brakes are more for show!

But if you do want them, you will need different alloys to clear the calipers, and that can be tricky.

BBK I would go for are AP and Stoptech, maybe Brembo.

All imo

Tarox GT 10 pot kit is awesome
The calipers are slim as well, so they fit behind wheels easily.

Cant recommend them highly enough!

What's your budget?

My suggestion may be frowned upon but I'd go for k-sport.

Excellent customer service. Proven on around half the field of time attack cars including 800bhp evos.

Only 850 pounds for 330mm 8pot kit or 305mm 6pot kit for about 780, choice of 8 colours I believe and 5-6 different pad choices

How much tyre grip you have, plays a big part in wether a BBK is effective, or if it just makes you lock up quicker...

Why would these be "frowned upon"? Seem to be quite cheap, for what you get....

I'm running a Tarox 6 piston set up on the Front and larger rear discs and for road use they are complete overkill. For track use they are really good, but for barreling down the Alps they are excellent

They are expensive but are designed to fit behind standard wheels

Just because they're a cheaper alternative

I've been trying to find a kit with yellow calipers..... If I cant find any, I may opt for the Spoon set up
