You should look at the new Nissan Murano.

You don't buy a 4x4 SUV and expect it to handle like a sports car.
That's what you'd think, but I see plenty of drivers who think they should and it seems most 4x4's these days never even go off road!

I hate them with a passion as they're a bitch to overtake at times as you can't see round them. They need removing from our roads with immediate effect.

about being able to see past them.

Not too keen the Murano's looks, a bit uninteresting inside, not much boot space ...not as refined as the RX. Combined fuel consumption of only 23mpg.

Nissan/Lexus ...Nissan/Lexus ....sorry but my money's on Lexus any day.

why not wait for the hybrid drive version that has just been released.

Half warp drive, half disel/electric or some combination like that

I hate 4x4s and lexuses (lexi!)..... however:

the rx is pretty nice and VERY quiet - plus the only person who has disagreed above so far as i can see is someones sister/police officer so........

just make sure it doesnt have the white carpets of the one i drove!

16 mpg on average according to the Autocar long termer iirc

Fair bit of town work in that, but it's still a shocking figure for a modern vehicle
Says the owner of a 6 litre V12 Daimler, and a V8 Ferrari - obviously a key consideration for you Pete!
