Only found LED ones when i tried which is annoying as i dont want one item brighter then everything else lol. Will try again for the wedge type after work though, cheers.

How long and what sort of job is it removing the dash?
One of the links above shows the process, takes about 10 min if you know how to do it. My second time taking it apart to sort an issue with my alarm and i have the seats out as well to put in the heated elements but its still easy. Just make sure you drop the steering column because its very hard to get the speedo console out without doing so.

Just a heads up what started out a simple job ended with difficulty, the t3 lights for the start button are not suitable from the above ebay link. Firstly its too long and fowls the tunnel enterance, secondly the locking guides on the light are too wide so you have difficulty turning even sanding down, when it does lock and turn it can't make contact with the tracks.

I had to glue it on sideways and solder wires to the tracks even then it was tight again fowling the tunnel but went in, how it didn't get pushed off I don't know but at least the light works now as it was still tight.

My advise... Buy the proper light from honda.

Before you buy new bulbs, have you cleaned the button? The white lettering gets dirty over time and looks like it doesn't illuminate but 2 mins with a drop of water on a new cheapo toothbrush could surprise you.

Gary, do you mean from the outside or inside. I didnt clean the inside, it looked bright enough in the dark.

Must be a different design, it was almost double the size in length of the original (the original had a brown nipple on it).

It would not physically fit as it would foul the peg that attaches to the spring in the white housing

As I said, mine was perfectly fine.

Did you fit the lamp it situe, or did you remove the internals? If it was the latter, try the former

The outside. People work on the car then press the starter. After a few years it gets grimy but because it's red it's not noticeably dirty. I spent my first year of ownership not knowing it was illuminated...
