Londoners - S2K not subject to ULEZ?
I've just used the TFL vehicle checker to see if my 52 reg S2000 will be subject to the new Ultra Low Emission Zone charge in London next year, and to my surprise it said that my vehicle is "not subject to the ULEZ". Can this really be true??
The checker that I used is here:

"Enforcement of the ULEZ will be based on the declared emissions of the vehicle rather than the age. Generally speaking, ULEZ-compliant petrol cars are those registered after 2005. However cars that meet the ULEZ standards have been available since 2000."
Since it's only Euro 4 and the S2K was a ULEV back in its day, it all makes sense.
ULEZ sounds like a great website for girl on girl action...

I had no idea that the S2K had Ultra Low Emissions credentials. I just assumed that there was no way that a 16-year old performance vehicle could ever meet modern low emissions stand

I've just been digging a little deeper into Euro 4 and the S2K. According to the RAC site, the Euro 4 emissions standards for petrol are: CO: 1.0g/km THC: 0.10g/km NOx: 0.08g/km
According to my V5C document, the emissions for my S2K are:
CO - 1.022 g/km
HC - 0.080 g/km
NOx - 0.075 g/km
The CO figure would appear to disqualify it (just) from the Euro 4 standard - is that correct??

It's gonna take on a new significance next April when it will be the difference between a free drive into London and coughing up £11.50 for the privilege each time.
