Default love & hate

I love the sound of my car with out it's air filterbox lid on....

I Hate the loss of power, rush to the red line, hesistion and poor running of my car with out it's filterbox lid on.

Is it worth a K+N Filter, or the more expensive K&N Gen II FIPK induction kit, will either of these help noise without the lid and remove the problems above.

K&N filter alone will do next to nothing for the sound, almost silent.

K&N Fipk...now we are talking sounds awesome , if there is no possibility of water going any highier up than a 1/3 of the wheel height get an AEM V2 instead.

And yes i have tried all 3.

Contary to popular belief i seen small gains with it (on a dyno), however i have most bolts on and added a gutted snorkle and heat tape etc etc.

K&N FIPK = Awesome Sound.

Get one, you wont regret it. No cutting of bumper required either like some other kits.

Another vote for the K&N FIPK from me Up to 6k it sounds like it's trying to suck the tarmac off the road in front of you Once you hit Vtec

One note of caution....it will screw up your fuel consumption, not because of any fault with the kit....you'll just spend most of the time with your right foot buried in the carpet
