Default Lumpy brakes?

Been out in the S most of the day today and had some curious feeling in the brake pedal.......on relatively heavy braking and braking to standstill the brakes felt lumpy, like it wasn't braking smoothly?! Also had some movement in the brake pedal where it was slightly juddery every time when coming to a halt - like a minor version of the ABS judder?!........and this was just normal braking.

Has anyone had similar issues previously? Could there be something wrong with the ABS?

You could have one or more warped brake rotors. Have you had your wheels put on lately at a shop? Or have you ever checked your wheel nuts for torque. They should be at 80 ft/lbs. Many shops use impact wrenches to put lugnuts on with - VERY BAD!

Yeah just had new tyres put on - could they have damaged the brakes?

It is entirely possible. If they used an impact gun (or did not use a torque wrench) to put your wheel nuts on and they warped the rotors, then the rotors are in need of machining or they need to be replaced. If left too long, a warped rotor will soon ruin your brake pads (uneven wear).

How can you test to see if the rotor is warped?! What would Honda do to check?
