Thing is I'd love to do a trackday in my car but...
a) I think my cars a little too old for it, it is mapped safe though.
b) Every trackday is just too bloody far away from me (nearest 3 hours+)

But if i end up going Australia then I might do one and if it blows up well it doesn't matter

CR is running 255 rear as stock and everyone knows your car won’t be low power for long also you have increased the torque from the 4.4FD.

Hope you get something back, I may have already gone else where though, Want to try and sort it for the Mase day even if it wont make a diffrence i would feel better knowing its the best it can be,

I dont mind cutting the hood but they say you dont have to, And yeah i can understand doing a proper instal and taking your time etc but still the common Braaapppppp noise and the pushing the AC Lines it what gets me the most,

May just leave it be or look at a K&N,

Is the Spoon or other TB's worth anything with the stock box?

Yeah i am not doubting the gains at all,

The bling is there as well,

But i have not seen anything solid to prove they have fixed it, (Please show me if so)

I still love the looks and so on but with it being my Daily i cannot have any issues,

Beding the AC lines is pretty common, I had to do it with the J's from memory. They are very flexible!

Not quite sure why you think extra rubber will decrease performance...

The track guys in the states who have experimented far more than we have usually run 255s all round on track cars , or if staggered and rim width allows 265r 235f

I can see how it would be better for corner grip, which is where most time is made, but the more rubber (especially sticky Yokohama rubber) the more straight line resistance there will be. Or, more power required to overcome the friction in theory. It's a small light car with not much power ATEOTD. But if the CR has 255 rear, then I have some confidence that it will be ok. It's not actually that big a difference over 245 anyway, but I like to make sure.

I can't understand why you're happy with going 225/45 front which against a 245/40 rear would be mismatched and would have a more detremental effect on performance.

You won't notice the increase in tyre diameter, especially with your gearing.

I'd do some resaerch on the US forum into tyre sizes, there is masses amounts of information.

What about feel?

Much more important on a track day car than outright performance IMO.

Car's looking very nice Mark, and I know this one is going to be used

Wrong gearbox though.

Yep a good points, Graham. I prefer a car which moves around underneath me, where I can feel what's going on. And as you say, it's not a race car, just hope to trouble a few more expensive cars in it, and M3 drivers

Stop hinting about the gearbox I was dreaming about it while driving on the M3 earlier

I couldn't make the Mase meet to map my car, but managed to get a slot with Romain from Eurospec2000 in Surrey today. Got a 70mm decat fitted by them before hand too, just to make sure I have the best gas flow possible. Couple of hours on the dyno and my car is now flying! He really is good, and i've used him twice now. Highly recommended for mapping (if anyone tells you otherwise drop me a PM)

Again I can vouch for Romain at Eurospec He mapped my old EVO and got 330 BHP from a standard car.
