Ah, I thought I'd seen that somewhere. don't forget to do Dixon's recommended bedding in process. About 10 hard stops from 100km/h to 0...

Will do.

Are yours the same as mine? Do they squeal?

I have non-slotted discs all round FCR/Z on the front, and PD/R-01 on the rear. The squealing comes and goes, and is probably more down to my hamfisted installation.

The rears are quite noisy as they brush the discs - you can hear them roof down at <20mph, but it's not a big deal.

Hmmm, do they do that steam train type noise? That used to piss me off when I had EBC's!

That's it. The Z pads don't do it, just the R-01s. One of the benefits of having a good stereo

Interesting... I went for:

FCR SD front
FCR Plain disk rear
R01 Race pad front
R01 race pad rear

That's probably better for you, given the nature of your car. You will find the R-01s are harder on the discs than the Zs. Having said that, I don't think there was a front R-01, or an FCR rear when I bought mine, although I've just re-ordered the same, on the basis of "if it ain't broke".

I had DIXCEL discs on my 350Z and although the stopping power was great the discs were extremely heavy. As this is unsprung weight, would you not be better off with some light 2 piece discs on yours MB?

Can't get them for the S, Adrian

At least not for the OEM caliper.
