Default Modding sections?

Is there any value in having a number of seperate sections for modding like on the US side?

One for cosmetic, one for performance and a third for suspension and wheels perhaps?

May serve to keep the various warring factions apart...

There seem to be a few on here who appear very intolerant of other peoples personal tastes so it would just seem to make sense.

(Please don't use this thread to discuss your thoughts on actually modifying anything, I think we are all clear enough over the last week or two of who will post in which sections)

I think you're right.

Basically all other car forums I visit have seperate engine/bodywork/suspension sections, and if you don't agree with modding the different bits then you just don't have to look inside the sections.

Works brilliant and especially after all the topics this week I think it's what this forum needs, desperately!

Fully agree, suggested this a month or so ago but the thread decended into the usual arguements.

I think with only 920 Uk members we could have one section covering projects and pictures, sort of a show off your car and what you've done to it area.

And then a modifying section covering all performance, handling and cosmetic modifications and questions.

Would be a big positive for the forum!

You could, but how far do you go with sub division?

Those same people are still free to post and comment, so its not going to work keeping the ego's apart.

A section where entry is based upon literacy and IQ scores would be of more benefit

Like you say alot of sub forums may make it look empty, with 2 extra ones I think both would remain quite busy.

It's like muppets and off topic, they could both be merged in to one IMO I know they won't be but their not really both needed.

No reason why you can't use the existing forums, these are not exculsive to the US members.

'The Gallery' is the place to post photos of your cars.

( ..... and the Photography Forum is the place to learn to take nice photos)

This is precisely the reason that people go off and play in the main forum - there's more variety, less snoot and more to talk about.

As for IQ and literacy, if only either of those were an indication of common sense and the ability to live and let live
