MOT failed- Low beam too high
Hello Guy
Have just failed my MOT as the Low beams are aiming too high, I dont want to pay Honda extra 40pounds to get it adjust so I would like to adjust it by myself
What is the legal requirment for the low beamsin the S? Ive got the Helms manual which i think it is for the USDM, so... what is the advice for the low beams?
Any comment, welcome
Thanks
Harris

Someone should be able to point you to a service manual download. It's on page 22-72 of that.
Here's a useful link

Hello
Thanks for reply..I had read it a few times...but I have no idea what he is talking about....Do you have a detail measurement of that? I only know it should be leveled and 25feet from a wall
Many thanks

Measure the height that your headlights are off the ground. Let's say it's 24"
The beams of the headlights should hit the wall at 24" - 2" = 22" from the floor.
Change he numbers accordingly.
There is an adjuster behind the headlights which you turn to alter the height.
Download the service manual here for pictures http://thefrost.net/randomfiles/randomforu...nda%20s2000.zip

The manual said:
Measure the height of the headlight A The lights should reflect 2.1in below the headlight B...
Does this mean Headlight B is higher than headlight A? what is headlight A?
Many thanks

Measure the height of the headlightS (A)...
(See the A it's pointing to. A is the height of the headlights off the ground)
Measure the height between the floor and the headlight. Call this measurement A
B is the measurement of the beam height.....
A and B are variables.

Harrison, change your profile to show your in the UK
Really surprised that the MOT garage didn't try to adjust them for you, it would have taken them a couple of minutes max...
Also make sure your auto leveller is connected and working OK ( its on the NSR suspension leg) mine was disconnected when I got the car and headlights were well out of alignment...
