Default Mouse damage

My car has been sat in the garage for the last six weeks unused and neglected. Except, it seems, by the mice that have moved in.
can anyone identify what this hose is for me please? I think it feeds water to the heater as it goes off through the bulkhead on the passenger side.
is it a rubber hose, or is it simply rubber covered? It could be a metal pipe lagged with rubber to protect it.
is it available to buy from anywhere at a reasonable price?
its not been chewed right through, just munched on a bit. I went for a 2 hour drive today and everything worked and nothing overheated!
thanks for the help and advice in advance.

I would just wrap it in electrical tape, you could get a new one from Lings, only £277.15 !!!

Ignore it.

At least they've not eaten your wiring looms.

Or in the case of Bavarian BMW owners, pine martens haven't chewed through the bottom hose & drank all the coolant.

Rubber insulated air conditioning pipe. Insulation is not structural, just tape it like Rich noted.

Yes thanks guys. I figured out it was the a/c pipe once I got home and had a good look under the bonnet. No serious damage done. I’ve filled the shed with mouse traps and bait now so hopefully no more problems.
