Last tank average 27.5mpg mostly around town in jams etc but includes two blast sessions.
I typically fuel the S every 230-240 miles with around 38-40 litres.
Today was the first time I've calculated it for a while. Not totally accurate but seems consistent with previous results.

Many thanks for setting up this thread. It made me sit down and divide the total mileage by the total fuel since day one and .......... the revised average is 28.66 miles per gallon. (Optimax)
That seems so much better than what I thought.

not only does this car go like sh## off a shovel but gets good mpg. I think I made the right choice

Totally agree, the lower the mpg, the more fun you must have been having.
Incidentally, I have been using the same philosophy on hangovers for years. The bigger it is, the more you should enjoy it, cos it's all you have to judge how good last night must have been.
..... and Moggy, wasn't me in the S, but I'll keep an eye out for u in Sale.
I'm in Sale on friday helping arrange finance for a couple to buy a house in Little Hulton. They are obviously moving up in the world.
