My modified intake
Here is my modified snorkle mated with a K&N and air feed to the side.
Bonnet latch only needed adjusted ever so slightly.
The snorkle is quite a good design but its far too restrictive at the point where it passes under the bonnet. I removed the restrictive part and used the bonnet etc to form a top and seal.
The foam sealing when chalked up made a perfect imprint on the underside of the bonnet.
I have tested it and this time of the year its cold, but I'm 100% positive and sure the throttle response it better - I think its due to cold air, i dont think the ram air effect is such a big factor. It will get dirtier which is why i have a k&n to clean.
Notes to one self: dont do when hungover , i was disapointed with some of the finishing, i decided to tackle it later on but shortly after it began to rain. I aimed tidy of the foam and to cut more but the snorkle would lose some of its rigidity.
Will polish it off next week.
