Mine is a GT from a Manchester main dealer but there is no mention of GT on the registration document, only on the sales invoice.
I'm led to believe the hard tops are fitted by a sub contractor once they're in the UK.

OK - can't say I noticed any spikes, but behind the passenger's left shoulder there is a electrical connection with a rubber cover that says "Hardtop" on it... so I'm guessing that confirms it.
So if that's there, I guess I can assume that all the fitting kit's there, and that should I ever want a hard top, it's just plug and play (or plug and pray)

hmm, sorry....mine had the lecy connection but i had to buy the fitting kit recently (to a 57 plate). you know that nipple next to each seat you mentioned earlier in the thread?....if you look at the top & behind that panel you'll see the fitting kit bracket 'hole' that the hardtop 'spikes' fit into. hope that helps.
