Default MY03 Modified S2000 - Project thread

Hi guys,

So as i'm a picture whore i thought i'd start a project thread from when i bought it to now, so when i do more and more i don't keep posting new threads all the time!

The idea behind the car was to have something fun to drive at the weekend but also be a good daily driver, it didn't make sense to most ... A 2 seater raw sports car as a daily driver? But i enjoy it and enjoy driving it all the time.

Anyway, the spec so far...

Meister R Coilovers
SSR Professor SP1's - White centres, polished dish
OEM Hardtop
Carbon Honda badges
OEM front spliter
Driveshaft spacers
Gold wheel nuts
Ferodo DS2500 pads
OEM disks
Motul 5.1 Fluid

That's it for now, my immiediate plans are to get ASM rep front and rear bumpers from the states, J's racing exhaust system, OEM spoiler.

Future i'd like to mase turbo it, ASM front and rear fenders, 17x9.5 CE28Ns and 265/35 tyres on all corners.

From the advert, 60k, 2 owners, immaculate throughout.

Went and bought these wheels for it, Works VSXX they were badly corroded so had them refurbed in black. which is shown furthur down.

Refurbished

Had to roll the arches

Coilovers fitted and geometry set to squeeze the wheels in

Wheels fitted

OEM Front lip fitted

How it sits now with the hardtop and new wheels

F/I next

TBH i just dont like the stance of the wheels (I know you've heard it all before but being honest - each to their own), the wheels issue aside all of it is smart and looks good .

Iravaton - I'm at Uni as well as working 20 miles away, then driving to race tracks when we work away so i can't FI it just yet till i get another car as well. Might sell the BMW to be fair.

D2 TEX - Certainly will! Hope your going to be at some shows, your car's going to look great!

Regarding the stance.
I think a couple of the pictures makes it look like the cambe ris crazy to accomodate the rims.
In "real" life in doesnt look like that.
It just sits nicely enough to be able to drive it hard on B roads. Within speed limits of course!

6th picture down....

you should have left it at that. Looks very nice.

I have never liked modded S2000's, not really seen one that looks better than standard, maybe a small ride height drop, but nothing else. But then I don't think any modded cars look better than standard, but that's just me.

Seems that you enjoy what you do and it's your car, so keep at it.

On the plus side, it seems that you know what you are doing and what you do, you do it properly, which is a rare thing in the 'modding world'.

I think it looked best with the black wheels...

Love it when they're slammed... think every car looks better without the silly big wheel gap.

Nowadays some brand like bmw and audi have finally learned this, but honda still manages to come up with sports cars with a wheelgap where you can fit your head in

If it wasn't so damn impractical mine would be decked too!

Actually, I quite like the look (although I preferred the black wheels) and I'm an old fart.

Can't imagine your bearings will last long though.
