Lost the lovely little fog light and bunged it in the lights ( a 10 penny saving no doubt) & what the bloody hell is that crease all about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Yanks preferred it and that's the big market I'm afraid. Just look at the design of any hideous American car.
That's also why the suspension was softened from the original MY99/00. Americans like them to drive like king size beds.
Mine's a perfect MY00 with 10K miles and it's a cracker! I agree with your observation.
Yesterday's news said that 25% of Yanks are officially obese and Honda like all car exporters have got to accomodate those over-sized ar$es on suspensions somehow!

I'm not sure quite how the size of Yank posteriors is relevant to the restyling of the rear end of the 04 - I doubt the fog light was moved to make more room for lardy Americans!

I agree that the restyled back end is an acquired taste. I think it has grown on me to a certain extent. I think I still prefer the light clusters of the 99-03, but I do like the new rear valance and especially the new exhaust tailpipes.

I wouldn't swap my '01MY that's for sure...I like the fact that it's the 'original incarnation'

Im Sorry but I cant agree with that, they have apparently lowered the car put larger alloys oval pipes sorted the suspension out, shortened the throw of the gear change and the car has a more aggressive looking front end. How is it becomming a "Twee glitzty fashion tourer"
