NA & SC
When having a bit of fun in an NA S, it fairs pretty well against the likes of Z4 3.0's, Boxsters, BMW 330's, Focus ST's...... Having not driven or passengered an SC S however, I wondered what sort of competition is considered game with an SC'd one. Clearly I'd like to hear that the SC is a waste of money and struggles to compete with even the likes of the Focus ST and then I can finally stop dreaming about installing one in my car - what is reality however SC (or Turbo) S team???
The answer to your question is think of M type BMW beaters, you are talking about 300 bhp at the wheels, (this is entry models) light weight more power per ton than most 40k - 50k supercars, 0-60 in 4 seconds 0-100 in 10 seconds with a top speed of 175 mph!!! anymore questions?

can you lend me
I agree Hughsie. Need to find 4K from somewhere very quickly indeed. Rislar - how does the SC affect reliability? Not being particularly technically minded I quite like that the S is fairly quick and bulletproof in NA spec, is that likely to change if SC'd or could a technical hack like me buy a kit, get someone else to fit it and have many happy miles of motoring without having to get my hands too dirty afterwards?
Funny enough the S can take about 400bhp before even more mods, well about 350bhp at the wheels, then you are looking at a clutch for starters then brakes, i stuck with 300 bhp and it wasn't a problem, obiviously you will run through tyres ect faster, but the car will be sweet as a nut, mine has done 20k since the install and it hasn't missed a beat
Hi Dom, try the search on the UK forum - Supercharging has been covered a LOT and you will find lots of good stuff on costs, pros and cons, reliability, noise, insurance etc...
I think it's a very reliable solution from the long research I did.

It took me 10 minutes to think about buying mine then 10 months debating whether or not to install as it was a bit of a snap purchase ;-)
I wouldnt go back and i am ashamed to say I wasted 10 months of uber goodness.
