God forbid that anyone would buy a car because it was fast.

the next thing you know it'll be illegal to advertise the power of your car.. or the 0-60 time.. or that it has good brakes.

that honda advert (the through the ages one) has a theme of speed all the way through it.. ok, not all the way, get the plag out the way and that little scooter effort.. he's belting along on that bike.

and it mentions POWER of dreams.. how offensive

I think Honda get away with it as it's not advertising a car ..

It's advertising the history of a company ..

It makes me wonder whether it might be a possbility to sue a car company that sells a fast car for misleading the public with their adverts that give no indication that the product is fast.

If in the US they can sue for being served hot coffee - you just never know.

they could always place health warnings across the door panels of future cars as reminder

would this not solve the problem?

That must have been in response to a complaint by some sad, green farquhar bleating about the advert.

I think all car manufacturers' adverts should be in the vein of Sniff Petrol.

And as Politically Incorrect as possible.

What would really wind 'em up would be one for buses: "kneel down on your huge airbags & let me enter you"

That'd upset 'em a bit!

Did you hear about the owner who successfully sued Winnebago for close to a $1million, because she crashed setting the car to "Cruise" before going to the back to make a drink and it never said she couldn't do that in the owner's handbook? It's true
