Default need comfirmation tear-aid correct type

Hi, my current Diy patch keeps dropping off due to the warmer weather, can a member please tell me exactly which Tear-aid kit I need? its for the usual 1" tear caused by the metal-bar behind drivers right-side, I understand its the type A required as its the inside which Iam sorting not the outer, however on Amazon there are several types of the A option, do I need the 'A patch kit' £6.99 or just the 'A 5 3/4 strip pack' £4.50 or 'A fabric repair patch kit' £14.99 ? thanks in advance

Duct tape + Black permanent marker = cheaper

I would assume a strip pack would suffice, maybe wait until the warmer weather goes (wont be long) before applying.

convinced about the Tear-aid, fitted it should provide hassle free roof up/down motoring for quite some time (provided I get the correct pack) got the car from Honda with Duct tape, lasted a few months, they said at the time it was purely 'cosmetic' er what when you can see my finger poking through the other side???....that aside the car is very good hence I got it.

Try to stitch it and then cover with year aid. I stitched mine using a thin tarred twine - doesn't look great, but it's not gonna get worse and is waterproof.

I bought this one.

I spotted the split wearing though from the inside and put the patch on before it had gone through completely. But it continued to wear on the outside of the roof after that somehow. So catching it early made no difference.

If your patch is falling off b/c of the heat, you are using the wrong bonding agent. Search S2ki for some recommended glue. As for the patch, ask around to see if anyone has replaced there top, quite often people will cut up there old top and use this material as a patch.

As for the duct tape, a local member bought some Gorilla Tape (in black) and patched around different areas of his top (inside) as a preventive measure. It's been over a year and it seems to be working fine.

This. Bostic/evo stick types fail when they get hot, I've used Copydex, that worked well. Buy you MUST clean all traces of old glue off with acetone (nail polish remover).
