hey X your xbox sounds exactly like mine. It truly is the ultimate media front end. i serve ALL my mp3s over a wireless channel from a 250 gb partition on my main pc. lve got every guy in the office to buy one. A chipped box is the BEST av component u can have in your living room and at that price its a steal. Ill sway emails with u when i get off this damned train.
Hasn't it already got a HDD in it?
It must have, cos I haven't got a memory card and it still lets me save games! I understood Colin to be saying that he had swapped the HDD in his for a bigger non-standard one.

The HDD in the X is 20GB IIRC.
The problem with the XBOX as a media unit is that it does not have a TV / Digital TV tuner / Video-in, so no chance of creating a PVR / Tivo type device. (No DVD writer for making backups of your backups either).
What was your source for the XBit Colin ?

The HDD in the X is normally 8Gb, there are the odd 10Gbs but no 20 Gbs as standard.
Each of the ports on the front, even though differently shaped, is actually USB. Drivers for the USB WinTV device have been written, thus Xbox mediaplayer can stream TV direct to the xbox.
But who cares even if it couldn`t? 129 for an Audio and Video Jukebox, that has composite out as standard, built in networking AND plays awesome games.....you`d be a fool to diss that.
Xbit, from divineo.co.uk. This chip has external USB input for very easy updates. This means you can never destroy the xbox by a bad flash, as you can always update it externally. It leaves a little USB port out side the box, popping through the vent with a led on it. You know when its invoked as the led is high. Plus, it has a flashrom capacity that`ll store 5 different bioses, which you can externally switch between. It is a flashy mod solution.

So there is a S2000 later on in the game
I've had it for about 2 weeks but played only a little (race 40 ish)
I'm disappointed with Project Gotham 2 though, Its supposed to be a Sim not arcade like NFS but the rcars are nothing like the real thing. The S2000 dont handle or sound anything like the real thing
. I've play GT4 on the PS2 and the S2000 sounds spot on so it can be done.
BTW if anyone wants there Xbox chipped ... im your man
