I think it looks terrible.
Have to say, I agree. Boy Wonder was showing off his similar new acquisition at BMIV today and that didn't do much for me either.

Still, each to their own

I'm sorry but it reminds me of a lot of the too slow too tatty vehicles driving around the streets. I guess at least you will get the thumbs up from the riced up Nova's and Corsa's... I just dont see the point of spending a reasonable amount of dough on something that is heavier and probably adds further drag, as well as of course potential rain problems...

Just being candid, if you like it then great - good work fella, it's just not for me.

Would be interested to see it on a Berlina though

I know it's not to everyones taste, obviously I do like it but I am fond of a bit of rice. . It does have a practical use as well which is a bonus but isn't the main reason I got it. Rice rules

I'd love to be a fly on the wall to see Brian's expression if/when he sees this thread and reads Marc's comment which I've quoted!

Now wouldn't that be nice, nah I don't think I ever go that far and can honestly say I don't own any Burberry.

Mark, when I bought the car from Brian I liked the subtlety of the mods and planned on leaving it as it was. Unfortunately as a result of this forum I have found the urge to further mod but don't really think the cf bonnet is rice. The vents are making the car run a bit cooler which is a definite bonus. I think the other problem is people would always think of my car as Brian's S so changing things makes it more mine. I don't know if Brian would have ever changed the bonnet but I think I may have mentioned liking it and considering one when we went for the test drive. I also think he would have bought an original and not a copy as he has done a good job with the car (as I'm sure everyone knows). I'm sure he will pop up and comment at some point.

As said though the important thing is I like it, each to there own I suppose

I was just teasing, Marc - the car is of course yours to personalise and make your own. And as you say, it DOES serve a practical function. This board would be a very dull place if we all did the same things to our cars

After I posted I thought it sounded like I'd taken offence but I am much thicker skinned than that, hence the self ricing comments. Tease away Mr Lawyer
