Default New box and diff

Hi guys, ive just had second hand box and diff with about 50k on, 3 piece clutch has about 25k and was given to me by breaker as i know a new clutch shouldve gone in but was running low on funds. I dont know if im just being paranoid now and listening too hard at things but going uphill slowly with no radio etc on if i put my ear down near gearstick it sounds like a rough rotary noise but as soon as i dip clutch silence, also i think im hearing a bit of a whistle/whine on acceleration? Am i just working myself up over usual noises of moving parts, i cant help but listen for the faintest of noises now. The box etc was only changed due to getting bulk deal on full drivetrain from a 50k ap2 due to my rear diff failing, and 4t i would future proof car as its over halfed the mileage even though their was no faults with original box etc. cars been off the road over a month and now so been a while since i drove it and my hardtop back on now so does make things echo, but is a bit of faint mechanical noises usual? Does everybody else hear these little things if they listen close enough? Cheers

I remember Honda sometimes mixed up the oil for the S2000 from that of a CRV. Can't remember if that's for the box or diff; do check though.

It's the diff oil that sometimes been mixed up, the correct one from Honda is 08294-P9901HE.

So it whines when you have the clutch pedal released, and it stops when you put it down?
If it's doing that at idle / neutral, it's normal pal.

Its silent at neutral/idle, just as im accelerating it makes a faint noise similar to that of reversing quickly in a normal car but its quieter and increases with speed, im pretty sure only does it on engine acceleration, tried going down a big hill in 2nd earlier and couldnt hear it. Could just be normal gearbox noise, i might just being paranoid cos its been changed and now im listening purposely to it?

Sounds like every day diff whine to me. Most of these cars do that to some extent.
