I'm surprised you are asking for a diagram of connections. You should be absolutely sure. Totally sure before you start this job. All ambiguity and confusion and should be gone.

I strongly advise you seek specialist help to avoid wasting more money.

I can only think that you have maybe plumbed into the vac takeoff on the inlet manifold because that is the only pipe that would be a similarish size to maybe the heating circuit or oil cooler ?

BUT.....why is the water only coming out of the one cylinder ?

A compression test will tell you everything you need to know.

edit - without coolant in though!

Honda specialist is required on these motors. Or you may both be chasing tails. If your mechanic friend is so experienced, then he will know what he's done wrong, or what IS wrong. Mechanics can make mistakes. Did he compression test before fitting? Idiot if he didn't ... Sack him if he didn't and take the thing to your nearest specialist before more damage is done, and before you ring the company you bought it from.

We still don't know where the problem is from yet, his mechanic may have done everything correctly already.

Also it is not necessary for the installer to be a honda specialist, any mechanic who has worked on a fair bit of cars will be able to tell the difference between a vacuum line and a coolant line, and determine if it is in the correct place.

Furthermore;
If the headgasket failed it wouldn't put that much coolant out
If the cylinder head was cracked it also wouldn't throw that much coolant out.
I am still under the impression that a coolant pipe is in the incorrect place.

Don't run the engine line this.

Can you tell me if there is any water in the engine oil? Did coolant only start to pour out as the coolant became pressurised (hot) or was it pouring out water from the beginning?

Lets possibly save some time on this topic, where are you based? If you're local I'll come have a look

Joe

Make sure its not filling the sump up with water as well
or will add to your problem with bent rods and worse !
Head gasket failed would be my opinion <if plumbed in ok>

Rob2.2 got two lines mixed up and did this. Luckily the engine was fine.
