Default New format for the board

Cut and pasted from the Community Organisers' forum. (I hope cthree doesn't mind me posting this here - I'm assuming there's no reason why the board membership as a whole can't know about it ) Currently scheduled to be in place by the end of the year or early 2004.

Each club will have a "start" or home page which is very similar to the home page of the site proper. COs can use this space to help develop their clubs and there are a number of different tools available:

Articles - You can create article about news and information inportant to your membership. They can include links, images, text and other info.

Events - Manage your events. All events go on the event calendar. You can include an event banner which will run site-wide.

Announcements - Like articles but displayed and organized differently.

Polls and surveys

Links to your forum(s)

Each club will have its own chat room

Each club will have its own gallery (like members) for club photos, event photos and so forth.

A vastly improved membership roster facility (no more downloading your roster every time you need to update).

direct link from your subdomain -- club.s2ki.com (if you have one) to your home page.

The new club section provides a site within a site for each club. If you choose not to use the new facility then a default home page will give generic information and links to your forums

Sounds good - it will result in additional involvement from the COs I think. Those PPDs might take a knock
