Default New guy saying hi. Sussex.

Hello all, purchased my first S2000 today! Have 4000 posts over on CRX-UK and used to have a modified SIR. Saw the perfect S2000 today and bit the bullet. Its a 2002 GT in MonteCarlo blue, hardtop, 68k. super pleased with it!

Plans for it are minimal, want to get some Rota Fighters in white and lower it on some Eibach springs.

Does anyone have a picture of an AP1 with standard ride height on 17" wheels? Just so I know if it looks alright to get the wheels first and then get TGM to fit the springs after.

Drive home from Kent to Sussex in the weather today was interesting, very timid drive, slightly sideways on a very greasy roundabout at about 7mph. Very aware of the RWD!!!

Hope to get along to some meets soon!

Sam

Hi Sam, welcome

For wheel pics, I'd try Google images or the gallery section of the main forum.

FYI all UK cars are AP1, we didn't get AP2 over here so people generally say the model year, or pre / post 04

I see! Gotcha, thanks for the info

I was thinking second hand for wheels but they seem pretty scarce in the proper fitment. I'm loving your project thread! There's a few CRX's in the VTEC challenge that I follow

Also, as far as standard brakes go, I found mine to be lacking somewhat, not sure what pads are on but they're newish. Hopefully I just need to get some heat in them as I didn't have a chance at all on the way back.

CRXs are very nippy!

For wheels I'd keep an eye on the FS forum as proper fitting sets do come up every now and then. Along with some dodgy offset ones!

Brakes should be pretty strong, even with oem pads. Maybe the tyres? Lots of good pad upgrades out there though.

Congrats on the purchase. I've got both an S2K and a 16V CRX. I bought the Rex as a daily and it's a different ball game to the S. take it easy in the wet and look forward to seeing your updates.

I'm near Angmering! Winfreak, hello! Was just looking at your build thread, looks awesome!

Whilst I'm waiting to get my springs fitted, will my car look pants with white fighters on standard ride height? I'm thinking as they're 17's the arch gap should get smaller anyway, and it's not too bad as it is.
