Default New Member - Just bought my first S2000

Just thought I'd say Hi,

I've just bought my first Honda S2000 and thought I'd sign up here.

It's a silver pre facelift model with red interior.

I'm loving the car so far, however the clutch seems to have a really high biting point - is this normal? Note it doesn't seem to be slipping at all.

Thanks,

Paul

Nice car. Maybe clutch needs setting or is on its way out, Mine bites further down the travel.

Welcome to the fold Paul...nice to see an older (and the best) example of an S.

There is an FAQ at the top of the index that should answer most of your queries. Alot of other topics have already been covered, which can be found by using the search toolbar.

Enjoy!

Clutch biting high is perfectly normal, most of them seem to do that..

If its not slipping then its good to go..

Clutch is hydraulic so self adjusts for travel/wear.
You can alter the linkage in to the pedal box if you want it shifted down a little though.
Try new fluid and / or a bleed. The fluid gets REALLY mucky in that reservoir.

Hello and welcome Paul.

Nice car - always did have a soft spot for the orignal in Silverstone red seats.
