Default New roof, Vinyl or Mohair?

New roof. Vinyl or Mohair?I'm going not get a new roof this Sprng from Monsoon. What are peoples thoughts of Vinyl Vs Mohair?

My OE roof is vinyl and is easy to clean but the Twill pattern is worn smooth in places. My last car has a Mohair roof which looked nice buy was tricky to clean and was easy marked by bird lime etc.

Ladyboy blue car and I want another blue roof to keep it OE ish.

I went mohair in black on my ladyboy and preferred both colour and material. HTH

Mohair is much more luxurious. Its a pain to maintain though.

If garage queen I'd go for mohair, if daily then I'd go for vinyl.

Vinyl can just be washed with normal shampoo...Mohair doesn't need "washing" more than once/twice a year. Rest of the time just sheet it with with plain water and give it a vacuum.

I am guessing 'Twillweave' is vinyl?

Thanks all. I don't own a garage queen so I'm thinking Vinyl.

Not sure why you say mohair is more difficult to maintain? My mohair roof doesn't grey in the sun, doesn't get stiff or need treatment every wash to look good. Two coats of Fabsil when new and a few years later, it's only ever needed a wash as per the rest of the car. Still looks great. Easier to keep supple and looking good in my opinion. The only thing that is more difficult is cleaning bird sh1t off it!

I have three convertibles each with different types of roof material. Twillweave, Double duck and Mohair.
Mohair is by far the best! It is colour fast, durable, flexible and watertight. I treat it with Renovo products.
