The spare will definitely go as will all the trim and anything else i can remove from the boot. i will try to make the install as light as possible. no point filling the boot up with mdf!

the K&N Gen II is the air charger version. it does look more impressive and would give better water protection than the typhoon but as you say not available in the uk. from what i can see i think i cant really go wrong with the K&N and its reasonably priced!

You'd be better off aiming for improved torque mid-range, rather than top end bhp.

A Spoon-style intake is considered best VFM.

There are certain exhaust/manifold designs that will improve torque.

They tend to be expensive, relative to the gain. This car was riced at the factory already.

The full Mugen requires a change of thermostat, sensors and ECU to be properly effective. It is eye-wateringly expensive.

Does the Mugen have all those welds??!!

You would be very surprised how a lot of them can affect airflow, if they aren't smoothed inside (which is very tricky) I know that sounds picky, but if were talking 1-5 bhp / lbs ft gains here, it may be relevant.

Those welds are on the outside!!! its smooth inside.

And its a almost exact copy of the Mugen the Dyno even shows pretty close to the Mugen.

I appreciate that but you get an almost equal bump on the inside...

Again, more relevant on a racing application

Get yourself a pipercross induction kit and a stainless steel exhaust from Ripspeed - great gains for what you pay.

Theres plenty of second hand Mugen kit sitting on the main FS forum buy it from there. Best VFM is a second hand Mugen CAI.
