I can't remember the name of the guy I spoke to (will call him Honda guy), but he seemed ok, in saying that he didn't know about the secret compartment.

I really don't know what to do about my car at the moment - it has only done 18,000 miles in 3 years. I want to get another performance car for the same sort of money (have looked at a second hand porche boxster S). Honda guy said he would match the APR that porche offered me and said they were really keen to take S2000 in part exchange as there arn't many around?

It took me 6 months to find a car I really liked last time and in all seriousness I have been looking for about 3 months now and still prefer the S2000 to anything else (in that price range) around.

The two holes on the side of the HKS exhaust are their for fitting a silencer device - a lot of JDM exhausts have this to conform to street car status.

It basically supresses the loudness of the exhaust - I have them on my HKS but didn't opt for the silencer additions.

Sounds like it would defeat the whole purpose of installing the HKS in the first place?!

Mark - fitting those little silencers takes about 2 mins!

My friend in Japan has a Skyline GTR with a Fujitsubo exhaust which is very loud...so during the evening he fits the silncer which slides into the back of the exhaust and makes it quiet!

Pretty effective when u don't want to draw attention.

Ah! I see. Gotcha. Well, if my neighbours want any peace and quiet in an evening, they'll have to club together and buy the silencers for me once the Hiper is fitted

That's the way to go!

I have my baby garaged so when I fire her up - it is LOUD! But on the street it is only slightly louder than stock. You get a nice little rumbling/gurgle at idle - very nice!

Since getting the exhaust, I have found that lots of people turn around to look at what's coming their way...and that's only driving at about 3000rpm!

They totally crap themselves when you're in VTEC and will quick move out of your way!
