I purchased a MY99 in red, black interior, newer 17" alloys, hardtop and private plate reading S2 CTB, does anybody know the car?
It feels absolutely fantastic to drive and love it to pieces!
Insurance is an absolute killer being only 22 but its so worth it!
The car has a bad vibration on overrun, the previous owner said it was due to the spigot bearing needing replaceing and apparently this was a recall jobby that never got done? I will get that and the clutch done at the same time i think.
Hi all, got an S2 last october and have been very happy with it. Its a silver 03 GT, 35k (40k now) absolutely spotless standard car. Whover had it before just used it on the weekends and garaged it otherwise. Couldn't have hoped for more car for the money really.
Had a Clio 182 previously which I used to think was a reasonable match, I soon got learned!
Just a quick thanks to you all, as I did spend some time on the forum before getting the car and then after when I replaced the stereo, speakers. Your efforts in sharing the knowledge was really appreciated and used. No pics as yet but I guess you have seen one before!
Any suggestions on bodyshops in the Leeds area as some bar steward has put a 3 inch scratch on the nearside door that I need to get sorted??
Also, maybe in the market for some matt black multi-spoke alloys if anyones got any suggestions. Other 'slight mods' will be will be added, but nothing that can't be changed back to standard.

Bought my S2 at the end of March. It's a 51 plate in Montecarlo Blue with 36K on the clock.
Had the wind noise issue so I bought the GT strikers and popped them on over the weekend. No more wind noise
Friend has removed all the swirlmarks from the paintwork and she really does shine now. Here's hoping for more of this glorious sunshine.
Will be having the alloys refurbed and new discs and pads fitted next month. Maybe looking at some Cold Air Induction but for the time being just needs a new filter cone as it's filthy in the extreme.
I've come from an Ibiza FR with 300lb/ft of torque so I've had to change my driving style but I can honestly say I've never enjoyed driving a car so much as I have the S2K.
Maybe get around to some meets in the Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire areas.

Hi, Got my S2 a few months back - MY05 Silverstone/Red interior.
All I can say really is 'WOW' what a great car!
Being an ex-biker and a company car driver for in excess of 13 years, I really thought that a car could not ignite a passion for driving that this car does...the start and the end of the working day is without doubt the highlight of my working weeks.
To top all of this off, I just have to say that this forum is certainly one of the best I have some across for friendliness and excellent advice that it provides.
