Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

First trackday is a wednesday afternoon at Snetterton. Time to learn the new car.

I will be selling the MY00 when the weather picks up.
Having come from a long list of stiff boneshaker hatchbacks i am surprised i prefer the Facelift but it scores higher in all categories for me. Mileage is the same in both and they are both well kept cars but that bolt action rifle gearbox in the MY06 is just amazing...

Surprised your box feels much different, an change and a grease up of the linkages should resolve that.

What else do you prefer in the facelift? (Aesthetics aside!)

The box in the MY00 has actually done less miles and they are both super greased up. The Facelift feels much more planted and forgiving. Don't get me wrong I bought the S2000 as a car to keep my wits about me due to pushing FWD to its limits but I feel more 'connected' in the MY06. Clutch is less grabby, steering is more positive and hanging the tail out can be done with my eyes open the normal amount and my bum cheeks relaxed

The clutch of your MY06 is less grabby because of the clutch delay valve. The gearboxes should be the same but IMO MY07 box feels better than MY00 did. Maybe it's the age and wear related. IIRC, the steering of newer cars is slower than on early ones.
