newbie need help
hello everyone,
finally found an s2000 site, been searching for a few weeks now,
Just a quick question recently purchased a w plate s 2000, and i seem to be experiancing torque steer, when i accelerate it pulls slightly to the right and when i let off back to the left, took it into to honda to have the alignment checked and they said it was spot on, the only thing is that the tyres on the the rear, one is a half worn michellin and the other a nearly new pirrelli, could this be the cause of my problems??
Im saving for some s02 but to see if that helps but any ideas??
cheers
micky

Car is very sensitive to tyre pressures.
Should be 32psi all round if you've got the correct tyres - Bridgestone Potenzas ES02JZ (for sizes, check out the Tech Faq above, or wait for a clever person to post!)
EDIT: Now I've read the post properly, CHANGE YOUR TYRES ASAP!!! Never use different tyres!

San, you scaremonger!
It's true though, you should change your tyres
Just take it easy in the meantime.
The recommended ones are Bridgestone ES02JZ (NOT 'Pole Position') 225/45/R16 93W on the rears and 205/50/R16 89W on the fronts. However, if you don't want to use those tyres (which are dry weather biased) then it's recommended that you use 245 width on the rears as the Bridgestone has a different tread pattern which = more contact patch for a narrower width. Fronts are normal tread pattern, so use the same width.
