Rang a couple of tyre dealers just now, both said they are not listed on their systems... and they don't know why.

I used to have Eagles back in 2002/3 on my MY02. I remember completely disagreeing with the perceived wisdom of the time of running them at 36psi - the tyres are effectively over-inflated by more than 10% and there was less contact patch and wore down in the centre even after having the Geo done.

Dropped them to 34 psi and they were much better than the SO2s in the wet (not much different in the dry), could really lean in to corners and still managed to get a great rubbery smell in the wet after a brief spirited drive over to my old mucker Ianl 15 minutes away. Couldn't quite understand why so many couldn't deal with the "wallowy" feel - barely noticeable after 500 miles

Each to their own, but I'm very happy with my Eagles at 34 PSI on 16" rims...loads of grip and confident with them in the wet too.

No one is doubting that.

The fact they feel like someone has replaced you suspension springs with ones from a Honda Jazz is the issue.

Despends on your driving style though I guess.

Really?

I've never been able to flick the car, it doesn't change direction that well (compared to my MX5 which is >300kg lighter), but this has made my driving style smoother.

I've not had the S with any other tyres on...maybe I'll be in for a nice surprise when I change them. Perhaps a track day is in order to burn the old rubber.

Camskill still have the T1Rs on their Website

I went from T1Rs to Re050As

The difference in turn in response was immediately noticeable. Also less 'body roll' due to stiffer tyres. They are also good in the wet IME.
