Default Not really a build.....

Right, I've had the car a month now. I must admit I love it, puts a smile on my face most days on the way down the country lanes near work. Shame the weather has been utter rubbish since I picked it up, anyhow........

I like the OE+ look when it comes to my cars. The wheels were in a bad way on the car, curbing and lacquer peal meant they were always going to be done. I dropped them off last Saturday and picked them up yesterday. They have been powder coated inside and out in dark anthracite, I was going to go lighter but didn’t think it would be enough of a contrast on the car. The car has been running round on MY99 16's while they have been done.

I ordered a rear lip spoiler from BMWchop......quality is great for the price, went through ebay.com so I bought it in dollars which exchanged to about £68.00 and they marked it as a gift so I didn't pay any import duty

I've also managed to get some Skunk2 lowering springs from a US member, they are currently in transit from LA. As soon as they arrive......hopefully this week, I’ll get them on. Once this is sorted the car will be getting a full detail and the wheels and spoiler will be fitted, I'll run round for a week to let the suspension settle before getting the geo done. (Yes, I know all about coilovers being much better, but it's as funds allow at the moment)

I have some ideas for a lower lip, in the next few months ill be getting a lower OE lip, but in the immediate future I might try a few ideas and I’ll upload some pictures if it looks any good.

Hope you like what I'm doing with it, any comments are welcome.

How I'm currently running

Looks great! Love the new wheel colour.

I'm sure I saw an MY04 running the early 16's for sale on here a while ago....

Yeah, I think your right!

I wasnt sure how the dark wheels would look, but found some pictures over on the US forums and thought it suited the car, need to get my suspension sorted before putting them on as I think it will look rubbish without the drop.

My wheels must have some blue pigment in the paint, which you cant see unless in direct sunlight. I dont know if that will clash slightly with Silverstone?

Love the wheel colour mate!

Those will bring a fresh look to the car, over those dated 16's!

Well, My springs are still in transit, I couldn't wait until next weekend so the car had a good clean and the new wheels and spoiler went on. I'm happy with the result, spoiler makes the car a much nicer profile.

Just a quick picture I took, might get the springs on this weekend coming and my front splitter.

Then ill dig out the decent camera and take some nice photos.

Yes yes its been several months but I've been very busy, just a little update. Got the car lowered and the geo set up and I'm really happy with the results. It had way too much space between arch and tyre before and it now looks a damn sight better.

Took a few snaps but nothing special as they were taken on my phone. Pick up a hard top in a few weeks from a member on here then will get a friend to detail it next year when the nice weather returns.

Did my front splitter a while ago now, I dont have any decent pictures of it, but you can make it out in the photos. Makes the car look lower at the front and it cost me £11 so i'm happy

this is the section of the splitter where it is cut and shapped to follow the fine of the bumper
