Oh right I presumed if your in the car you would have done that. Then if your sat there for a while it would rearm I suppose.

What are peoples opinions on those wireless(bluetooth) obd2 readers and a tablet(or smart phone) with the torque app or something similar?

It does Diagnostics as well as funky looking read-outs which I believe are customisable.

I can't articulate any experience as I have yet to find on that works with the iPhone

Torque for Android is very good indeed and it works with an el cheapo bluetooth ELM device with my car. There's a few threads showing what can be done.

As Bluetooth doesn't work properly on iphones, you need a specific device - have a look at the Harry's Lap Timer app on iTunes as that has some examples of what works.

Torque Pro, ELM 327 and a tetrax magnetic phone mount attached to the left hand driver's air vent works well for me.
