It'd be useful if you provided a link or somesuch.

In the meantime - there's a Group Buy going for Jenveys https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/920604-gb-jenvey-itbs/

Noticed them on eBay. Price wise there cheaper then the Jenvey group buy . Just wondered if anyone in uk has used them? Seriously thinking of buying them. But trying to get as much info before I do.

I'd do a lot of research on ITBs before looking to buy. They won't get you the power you may think!

Key issues are:

Trumpet length - defines where you get the power
Filtration - this is tricky and can lose you a lot of poke
Injectors - you may max the OEM ones out
ECU - you will need a standalone ECU, and someone cunning enough to map it
Noise - can be too much for track

And unless you have all the other exhaust mods, and preferably engine work, they won't give you the return on outlay imo.

There's a big ITB thread in the NA forum.

thanks for your reply's
mb im not afto massive power. but more midrange would be nice. with a tad more peak. i dont plan on doing trackdays. just a fast road road car. re ecu what is the best option? going back a thew years ago when i had a mk5 rs2000 i bought a 2.3l throttle boddied engine which was built and mapped by northampton motorsport. think they know what there doing. so shoudnt be a problem re mapping
ive just had a look on the aspirated forum. doesnt seem any bad things about them. just waiting back on price shipped to uk.

Meh, people have been mapping ITBs for years. Keep the trumpets short for best power at top end, or lengthen for more mid range power. Stick em on and see how they go

Don't disagree, but mapping them for a road car with our swings in ambients isn't simple. There's a couple of UK mappers I would trust.

But what's holding me from doing it is the actual lack of power you get for the outlay.

Yeah, I can understand that.

I wouldn't worry about the fluctuation in ambient temps though.
