I only found this out the other day so going to make a few calls on Monday and try resolve it and of necessary order the bits. Im fitting a baffled sump anyway so my plan is to change the bajos while im in there, as for the retainers well il have to gove that to someone with the righy tools.

My 99 S2 had the revised oil jet bolts done under a warranty/recall many years ago (I have the paperwork in the garage so can get the date if needed) and I did the retainers myself.
Just Checked and it was October 2007 when the updated oil bolts were changed.
maybe check if yours had already been done!

I spoke to honda, they said they cannot see any work done on my S but could only check the local dealer network not nationwide. They also said there was no outstanding recalls on the car, was it a recall and if so i wonder if i can check to see if its been done

I have a printed report that my local Honda dealer printed that shows date/mileage of all warranty/recall work, this does not say which dealer did the work. Any dealer can find this info if they wanted to.
mind you it did help that at the time I worked at this dealer and was on good terms with the service manager.....

Just speak to Honda UK. We had all the dealers listed that had done any work on the car.
Then just check with the individual dealers assuming they are still in existence.
